Maravu Plantation Accommodations

Maravu Plantation accommodations consist of Planters Bures, Deluxe Bures, Honeymoon Bures. The top accommodations are Honeymoon Deluxe Suites, Oceanview Spa Villas, and The Treehouse, all with air conditioning, a fully-stocked mini bar, chocolate bars and snacks, bath amenities, hair dryers, bathrobes, and elegant and indulgent Pure Fiji bath products.

Planters Bures are duplex units with private entrances and garden views, verandah, bathrooms and just one joining wall. The Double Unit is an interconnecting area, ideal for a family with children.

Deluxe Bures have a garden view, private outdoor shower (also an indoor shower) and Jacuzzi, sundeck, comfortable garden furniture and a partial ocean view.

Honeymoon Bures all have a large outdoor river-rock courtyard, a partial ocean view, an open-air shower and a Jacuzzi spa tub. There is a sitting area, bedroom, and full bathroom. Fine furniture and 4-poster king-size bed. Sundeck with furniture.

Three Honeymoon Deluxe Suite have partial ocean views or garden view, large sitting rooms, expansive bedroom and bathroom, an open-air river rock courtyard with outdoor shower and a Jacuzzi spa waterfall pool, open deck, and a covered verandah.

Oceanview Spa Villas are expansive, elegant, secluded, comfortable. With a large sitting room and a large bedroom, leather and palm tree wood furniture, a fully stocked mini-bar, both an indoor and outdoor bathroom, a covered verandah, and a large sundeck with ocean views. The outdoor river rock courtyard boasts an open air shower and a Jacuzzi spa waterfall pool. The villas are situated away from the main area of the resort, and are connected via a tropical rainforest walkway and bridge, allowing for a true feeling of privacy and seclusion.

Stays in the Oceanview Spa Villa receive our complimentary Spa Package, which consists of two Maravu Massages (25 minutes each), two traditional Fijian scalp massages (15 minutes each), two Pure Fiji Body Scrubs (15 minutes each), and two Maravu Bathrobes.

Maravu Resort Activities

Land-based activities include several guided tours and nature walks where you can explore quaint plantation towns and rainforest trails such as Vidawa Forest Walk with its spectacular bird life.

Discover hidden waterfalls where you can swim in the natural water basins such as Bouma or Kulanawai. Jungle trails lead to the volcano Lake Tagimaucia, while our 4WD Landcruiser will take you up to the 1200 metres high Des Voeux Peak.

Horseback riding and mountain biking are enjoyed by guests too, as well as workouts in the fully equipped gym.

If you feel like tennis or golf, it can be arranged at Soqulu's Golf & Tennis Club - there are four tennis courts and a picturesque nine hole course designed by Robert Trent-Jones.

If you prefer something less energetic, maybe take a picnic to "Honeymoon Island" or go on the resort's yacht for a romantic sunset cruise.

The Maravu Plantation library provides a wide assortment of titles covering Fijian culture and natural history. Each evening you wll enjoy Maravu Seranades and the weekly Fijian meke and lovo feast with traditional dancing and delicious Fijian food.

Water-based activities are available on the island like snorkeling, kayaking, and deep sea fishing.

Scuba diving If you are a diver, or want to become a diver, you will come across some of the world's most breathtaking underwater paradises at the Rainbow Reef and its famous Great White Wall. We offer afternoon and night dives, all PADI courses and you can rent top quality dive equipment.

Maravu Plantation Cuisine & Dining

Have a candle light dinner alongside other guests laughing and conversing in the quiet open restaurant, or choose a spot by the pool, on the beach or in the garden to have a private moment with one another under the stars of the Southern skies. And look for the famous 'Southern Cross' formation which has guided travellers in times gone by.

The Resort's excellent wine list, food from their own organic vegetable and herb garden, and fruit from the banana, papaya, pineapples, and other exotic fruits, add to the menu.

Maravu also features a weekly Indian Curry night - almost half the Fijian population are of Indian descent.

Maravu Resort Service

Maravu offers great meals for children, and your little ones can have dinner earlier than the adults. There is also a full-time babysitting service available. Fijians have a natural way with children and make wonderful, caring babysitters.
