Wakaya Resort Accommodations

The Wakaya Club accommodations are waterfront. There are six private Ocean View Bures, two private Garden View Bures (1,650 square feet), and the Governor’s Bure, Ambassador’s Bure, and Vale O Villa. All free standing, offering luxury, serenity, and privacy.

You will find in the Ocean and Garden View Bures a secluded rear garden and two covered outdoor decks, cathedral ceilings, woven bamboo wall covering and indigenous yaka timber flooring, Hunter fans, and air conditioning.

The bedrooms have four-poster king size beds clad in Fili D’Oro 100% cotton sheets from Italy, a bathroom (with oversized soaking tub, two vanities, open-air, lava rock shower and separate W.C. and bidet), living room with wet bar, Tibetan rugs and Asian art.

Unlimited high-speed Internet access is available in each bure, CD player, a collection of CDs and iPod connections. But by design, no TV or phone.

The Governor’s Bure (2400 sq ft) adds a secluded garden with waterfall, jaccuzzi, TV screen for DVDs and generally more amenities and the Ambassador’s Bure (4500 sq ft) has two bedrooms, a full kitchen and dining area, a plunge/water Shiatsu pool lanaia, a private outdoor shower, generous soaking tub designed for two, and its very own spa with 2 treatment rooms.

The Vale O Villa is over the top, one of the finest in all Fiji. 12,000 square feet on 16 acres with stunning panoramic ocean views, living and dining pavilian with Asian antiques, three bedrooms, 2 baths and dressing rooms, a 2 bedroom guest pavilian (with bath), cliffside rock-rimmed pool with a waterfall and Jacuzzi, a night-lit tennis court, a Boules court, and its own gym, a household staff of 6, including a personal chef and on-call chauffeur.

Wakaya Resort Spa

The Wakaya Spa environment is natural and comfortable, overlooking an azure lagoon. there is a body-temperature salt water pool and and shiatsu/plunge pool.

Wakaya massage is superb, utilizing a hybrid of Shiatsu/Swedish technique and is deeply restorative, utilizing a selection of the finest beauty and skin products found anywhere.

Wakaya Resort Activities

Water based activities at Qamea include incredible swimming (in the free form pool or in the ocean), snorkeling, hobie cat sailing, windsurfing, and sea canoeing.

Land based activities include Wakaya Club's own 9-hole golf course, a small but challenging course with dazzling views of Homestead Bay as it meanders through a 19th century copra plantation.

Their Wimbledon-Tex surfaced tennis court is lighted for play during evening hours. Their David Niven Croquet Court is adjacent to the tennis court.

Other activities include use of the Fitness Bure, billiards, bocce and boules, beach volleyball, bird watching, hiking, jogging, island exploration, swimming, snorkeling,  and various cultural demonstrations and grounds tours.

Scuba diving at Wakaya is available and each guest gets two scuba tank dives each day with their occupancy.

Wakaya Resort Cuisine & Dining

Preparing delicious and nutritious food is an important focus at Wakaya with organically grown herbs, gourmet greens, and other vegetables and fruits grown on the grounds. Plus local avocados, mangos, kumquats, and guava. You will feast on locally grown venison, pork and seafood caught fresh from the Koro Sea, such as lobster, shrimp, swordfish, tuna, wahoo, waloo, and mahi mahi.

The four Fijian chefs (and two pastry chefs) are adept at accommodating dietary requirements without compromising flavor or presentation. The International Guest Chef program brings in highly acclaimed talent for your pleasure.

All meals and beverages are included in your stay, so you don't have to worry about prices or bills. Private gourmet picnics with champagne are available and BBQ picnic lunches for groups too.
